Pairing links the physical kiosk to a store in the Sephona Platform. The kiosk shows a code. You type that code in the dashboard. It then downloads the store’s Data catalogue and default app.
Before you start
- The kiosk is powered on and on the network.
- You are signed in at sephona.sodaclick.com.
- The store already exists and has a Data catalogue assigned.
- You have a spare device licence.
On the kiosk
- Open sephona.sodaclick.com/connect (certified hardware usually boots here).
- You should see a 6-character pairing code (uppercase letters and numbers, not digits only), plus the device IP address.
- The heading is along the lines of enter this code on the Sephona Platform to set up this device. Leave this screen up.
If the kiosk instead says Device Disconnected, it was unpaired. Stay on that page until a new code appears, or refresh, then continue below.
In the dashboard
- Go to Devices → Devices Overview.
- Click Add New Device.
- Enter the pairing code exactly as shown (six characters).
- Choose a licence, a store, a name (for example Front Counter 1), and a type: Kiosk, Voice Kiosk, or Command Center.
- Save. You cannot change the pairing code later on that device row.
What success looks like
- On the kiosk: the code screen is replaced by your splash or Touch to Start.
- In the dashboard: after the first heartbeat (within about five minutes) the device shows Online. Enrolled is not the same as Online.
If it fails
- Invalid code — type the six characters again. Refresh the kiosk if the code has rotated.
- Stuck on connecting — check Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
- No menu — the store must have a Data catalogue. See What is Data in Sephona.
To take a kiosk off the store, use Delete Device. There is no Unpair button.
